I am already purchasing my monthly MBTA commuter rail pass again because I will literally asve $14.00 USD per day in parking and probably at least $10.00 USD per day in gasoline.

Embarrassing moments at work
by damselfly ini think we need a fun fluffy thread today, so this is my attempt at starting one.
at work we have a big bathtub with air jets.
clients come in for a hydrobath, (hopefully remember their swimsuit 'cause i've seen so many naked people by now it's getting boring), leave and then, oh joy!, i get to clean the tub.

At one firm, on my very first day after hiring, I was escorted by a pretty staffer from personnel and introduced to every department in the organization.
During the introductions, I could not figure out why everyone kept staring at my trousers, and/or looking down when they greeted me in return, thus, I returned to my desk very puzzled, until I looked down and noticed my zipper had been unzipped the entire morning!
I literally met all 250 employees from about 07:30AM until about 11:00AM and never realized my zipper was open! I have also repeated that mistake several times since then at super markets, banks, post offices, etc. -

I can publicly, with clean conscience, and with indignation, vehemently state for the record that the "FULLER" family of Rhode Island (led by notorious elder Richard E. Fuller and stepford-like wife Claudette) are a clan of hypocritical, phony, self-righteous, greedy, mean-spirited, vicious, spiteful, hateful, vengeful, wrathful, evil, selfish, egotistical, robotic, twisted, maniacal, dysfunctional, injurious, deceptive group of impostors posing as normal, happy religious folk.
Recently, it was discovered that daughter Tammy Fuller (my ex-wife's fraternal twin) became pregnant and the father is a worldly associate, an attorney friend (like most witnesses who have never completed higher education, these FULLER's love to attempt to "hob-knob" and mingle with worldly professionals and thus, they now are networked and have beneficial insider scoop to help "poorer" less fortunate witnesses...how pathetic) who is WHITE!
What does daddy elder do? He barrs his daughter from the home and no longer speaks to her at all. He used to regularly throw his own children out on the street whenever they disagreed with him or the WTBS. This man has cleverly and selfishly used the WTBS religion like the "corban" principle to always acquire and ambitiously puruse material interests while discouraging others and chastising others for doing the same thing.
He is a religious scrooge that has never refused an opportunity to take material advantage of anyone and anything (calling it always "unrighteous riches") and managed to avoid scrutiny. He has lied to his own wife and children about being removed as elder and has was a physically over-abusive father (extension cords, yard tools, fists, etc).
His wife has never lifted a finger in behalf of her own flesh and blood children and watched while they were beaten, ejected from the home and many other terrible and tyrranical things were done in her presence. I am a living eyewitness and would testify in court today, if I were given the chance.
This woman, in order to save her precious home, jewelry, almost luxury lifestyle, has stood by and watched her own childern suffer setbacks of every kind and proportion. My ex-wife is a product of that household, and someday I will exact my revenge for the life of my beautiful daughter TALIA! -

Why did the WTBTS not sue Ray Franz?

why did they take no legal action against him?.

The WTBS leadership was much more stoic, archaic, tyrranical and paranoid than today's new and improved version. Reverting back to those early 1980's, it is obvious that the general "age old" principle of always avoiding publicity was followed to the letter.
Engaging RAY FRANZ in a public lawsuit would have been scandalous, and damaging despite the results. Today's WTBS might have handled the matter differently, since they are prone to more legally deceptive, conniving and manipulative practices and behavior.
The "old guard" would have staunchly relied on their existing policies and simply resorted to cover-ups and internal cleansing. Today, they actually believe they are intelligent, they believe their own lies and consider themselves "normal" and "mainstream" and thus, in my opinion, are more dangerous than the tired and outdated predecessors. -

Humans have been writing and extolling the virtues and principles of JUSTICE, MERCY, LOVE, for thousands of years. We will always be fascinated and ever curious about how and why we behave the way we do with others and with ourselves, thus we create stories, myths, proverbs, sayings, anectdotes, allegories, metaphors, illustrations, examples, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.
Why? It is human nature to express feelings and to dramatize life's events. We use events and history to teach and to entertain. Thus, it is entirely plausible that morals and fables arise from human association.
It does not however, offer proof of any judeo/christian/islamic deity based on early middle-eastern writings and philosophies. -

I apologize for being skeptical and I sincerely hope my opinion will not cause any negativity, BUT, I just can't accept anymore of these personal accounts about the supernatural.
Believe me, no one has more incentive than I (at present) to want to believe in something for the sake of my daughter, who is now gone. But, in all of my years, I literally have tried to have some of these similar experiences that others post and I have never met with any success, other than simply convincing myself and causing my own mind to play tricks on me and induce morbid fear.
The mind is powerful. Whatever it can conceive, it can believe and then achieve! If we believe there is something unusual about a place, or an object, we will start searching for proof. We will sub-consciously tempt our own selves into thinking and believing something supernatural exists, and something is at work and that danger is present.
I have done that to myself numerous times as a catholic and as a JW. In retrospect, I now realize it is all infatuation and superstition and imagination. Fear is the improper use of the imagination. It is just not logical for a set of beads to rattle, or for any object to start moving and defying physics.
Why would any spirit or supernatural force that is attempting to frighten to gain control use such pathetic means to establish a presence? If such entities exist, why would they waste their time and effort? Why not simply appear, communicate and interact with the human subjects in question and frighten and control them to their desire? I have to be logical and assume a more powerful being would also be more intelligent and just simplify the process.
Also, if spirits exist, what in the world are they waiting for, an invitation? It is so absurd that superior forces would rely on inanimate objects as launching pads and platforms for entry into the human realm. It is just plain stupid.
Also, why aren't all humans contacted? Why are only religious adherents at risk? I wonder if Thomas Paine, Carl Sagan, Aasimov were ever contacted by evil demons and spirits attached to special objects.
I just can't believe the level of imprisonment some of us are still undergoing!
